Downtown Gastown / East Hastings

Gastown is downtown Vancouver’s most historic neighbourhoods. Nearly every tourist visiting Vancouver will have their picture taken next to the old steam clock. Many of Gastown’s pubs date back to the turn of the century (the 1900’s that is). The area north of Gastown’s main thoroughfare, Water Street, is a little rougher, particularly around East Hastings Street.
