Downtown West End
The West End is a large, primarily residential district making up a large portion of the downtown core. A wide range of restaurants and small businesses can be found along Davie Street and Denman Street. The two streets run perpendicular to one another intersecting right at scenic English Bay.
This neighbourhood is considered a focal point for Vancouver’s Gay community. Gay Pride week occurs in late July/early August culminating in the annual Gay Pride Parade which makes it’s way down Denman Street then along Pacific Avenue.
The West End boasts several great pubs ranging from modern ocean front taphouses to traditional neighbourhood watering holes featuring some fantastic live musical performances.
