The Marine Pub(& Brewery), a Fine Public House, Indeed (Cont'd).

For me, it's about the beer, and the menu, and I was most impressed with both. The Marine Pub absolutely blows away its suburban pub competitors in this regard. First of all, their house Pale Ale was very good. But I was a bit drunk already, so I might have to return to give a more proper analysis. And I do recall many taps at the bar, so it is safe to say that your needs will be met here, regardless.

Secondly, their menu looked awesome, and choosing proved to be a tough undertaking. Featuring daily specials, and too many tasty offerings to go off about, you can definitely enjoy a decent meal here. I was on my fourth pint, not including the three I had at the park, when we finally got it together enough to order, so I went for the cheese burger with the works accompanied by a caesar salad & fries. I give it a fat 8 out of a possible 10.

The waitress, Nairi (Norwegian lass, works Saturdays and Sundays) was very patient and friendly, too. Despite our drunken ramblings on Kyoto and the rise of China and its effect on the

global economy, she bought us a round of Zambuca shots, later on, and replaced a full beer I had accidentally knocked off the table.

I have to admit, The Marine Pub treated us well. Unfortunately, I cannot find any reason to tarnish the reputation of what is obviously a fine Public House. So, if you fancy partaking in a good high school reunion any day of the week, or pissing it up with your folks, you will no doubt sing the praises of this establishment, too.
